Highly educated, knowledgeable, and very well versed in the Mortgage and Real Estate Industry. We are human. We feel, we hurt, we laugh and cry. We have families. We have some wins and suffer losses as well. We move through our lives connecting with each other, supporting each other in our times of troubles, and share in the pleasure’s life has to offer as well. As you get to know and understand our team you will soon have a deep understanding that we are the working people working for the working people. We are a very close-knit working family.
Our goal is to not only obtain a mortgage but educate you on how to design a mortgage. A mortgage that not only obtains the goal of homeownership, but acts as a vehicle to create wealth over time and a lifestyle. As we all strive to retire someday, we need to enjoy the small pleasures in life along the way. None of us want to be house-poor.
We take a deep dive into both short- and long-term financial objectives and understand what is important to you. We encourage face-to-face meetings and explain the very complex mortgage products while breaking them down into understandable mortgage options that meet goals and objectives well into the future. Victor Bals
My job is to work with you on structuring your loan options and educate you on the strategies that are available to meet your objectives. I am constantly meeting with my team to review the progress of your loan. You may not hear from me daily, however, your loan is in good, professional hands, and they do their job much better than I could. Flo Cannon
Licensed Loan Officer. You may have already or will have correspondence with Flo during the loan disclosure and document collection. Flo will also support Beth O'Hara, our Loan Processor, keeping the loan on track for our estimated closing date. You can contact Flo for any questions or concerns throughout the entire process. Married and mother of 2 daughters who are fresh out of college, Flo, is a very sweet, gentle, and giving person. You are going to love her.

Beth O'Hara
Licensed, Sr. Loan Processor. As your loan reaches Beth's desk, she will be your main point of contact from this point on to closing. She will be giving you a welcome call to review your file. She will work directly with the underwriter who approves your loan. She can give additional status updates and answer questions. She will be requesting more documentation at some point. We ask that you please cooperate and submit any requests within 24 hours. She is a wonderful human being, a mother of 3, and strives to serve everyone in her life. She has worked for me for 11 years and our kids grew up together.

Monica Miner
Media Director. Monica has been with me for 6 years now and you are going to love her! She will come into the process as we approach the Clear to Close milestone. Upon reaching this huge milestone, she will assist in coordinating the closing date and time along with getting you the final numbers regarding any cash to close or payment details. Do not be surprised if she were to reach out and ask you how our team is doing during the process. We strive to not only meet, but beat, your expectations and become an educational resource for yourself and your family. Monica is now a newlywed. She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking, boating, outdoor activities, and family friends. A high-spirited beautiful individual, also my personal assistant. She keeps me on track and organized.

More about Vic and his family!
To get to know me, you have to get to know my wife Maya. She is my rock. She keeps me on track. She insists I exercise, take my medicine and focus on my health and family. She has the toughest job and has been a stay-at-home mom since we were married 25 years ago.
She has done the most difficult job in the world. Raising 3 children, all respectful of others, grateful for what they have, and giving to others. She is a much better parent than I could have ever been. The way she has run the household over the years, her actions, ethics, morals, and disciplines have rubbed off on me.
She always tells me. “If you say you are to do something, then do it. If you are not going to do something, then say nothing”. Wise words to live by. She also says, ”Take care of the customer, and you will always have a customer” I love her more than anything in the world and will die at her side.
We enjoy our time together and like to have a couple of beers while taking in all we have accomplished through the years.
In 2017, from a lack of self care, I suffered a stroke. I had lost the entire left side of my body. As I liked to walk, they strapped me onto the treadmill for rehabilitation. I took this negative event and turned it into a positive and added another challenge in my life. It really made me start to look inside myself and made me realize I needed to make changes if I want to be around for my family. I started to watch what I eat and exercise regularly. Now I walk a 10k 4 times a week. I went from 228 lbs and a 42 inch waist, to 185 lbs and a 32 inch waist.
Even my family joins in! Here my daughter Sakura, my son Kazuma, and I finish the Ann Arbor – Dexter 10k in August of 2021!
I continue to exercise daily. It’s tough to stay on track with disciplines, but I try every day to be a better father, husband, and mentor for my team.
I met Maya in Japan when I worked and lived there when I was an Engineer. We have been married for 25 years now and have 3 wonderful children. Our daughter Sakura, has received her Real Estate License and is now an agent at Keller Williams Living in Brighton Michigan.
My son Kazuma is a student at Northwood University completing his BA in Business finance. He is gravitating into the mortgage business after he graduates in May of 2022.
My youngest Shingo is a graduate of Hartland High School. He was accepted to several colleges and plans to also take classes in business finance and may enter the family business someday as well.
Our family is close. We enjoy taking family vacations, relaxing by the pool with friends, and going out to dinners. We live for the summer!
Fun facts about Vic!
He wanted to be a garbage man as a child while growing up in Detroit.
Vic failed his first semester of college and dropped out. He then pretended to continue attending school when in reality he was going to sit at Burger Chef (a fast food restaurant) where he would read the real estate ads in the newspaper.
He became an apprentice and went back to school as a tool and die maker.
He was sent to Japan for 3 years as an engineering liaison for a tool and die company. While in Japan, he joined a rock band which lead to him meeting his wife.
He is a father of 3 and has now been in the mortgage business since 2000.
You can say that Vic’s life has never been boring! Through battling bad times and the ups and downs of life, Vic discovered his passion for helping people, which has led to him being an incredible loan officer and educator for home buyers/sellers alike.
